Cute Toilet Mats & Rugs from RomaPri

I'm not normally one for super cute home decor, but Romantic Princess had a few things I'd make an exception for. They carry a lot of furniture items like bedspreads, dressers, rugs and kotatsu but they also also have other random household trinkets and fashion items.

Their stuff seems to fit a more hime-gyaru type of style, but I thought this toilet mat set was reminiscent of Sentimental Circus, which I adore.

I'm sorely tempted to get some of their cute rugs. Once again, most of them are a bit too pastel/cute for my taste, but I think I could make a couple of things work. They do also have a section that is dedicated to a more gothic style, but it's a very small portion of their overall site.

h.Jelly Dark Red Rum - outfit post

Time to check one more thing to check off my bucket list; owning something from Dark Red Rum. Too bad the Summer months are fast approaching, as this knit is a bit warm. With something as elaborate as this I think it's best to keep everything else very simple; so no jewelry, some basic makeup, etc.

This gorgeous thing has huge billowing sleeves and lacing details and I'm totally in love with it. Even my boyfriend, who could not care less about fashion, really, REALLY likes it.

As far as Dark Red Rum goes I deeply desire this dress, I'd even be willing to get it altered to fit me perfectly. But it's incredibly expensive, so I may hold off on this insane, wallet-slaying purchase for now. Too bad there's only one left. [sob]

Shopping Haul - 4.27.12

I got a knock off Alexander McQueen style clutch off of ebay after lusting heavily over the real thing recently. The quality actually isn't terrible, and it was only about fifteen dollars. I can't imagine I'll have too many occasions to use it, but it was cheap enough that I didn't mind skipping lunch at a restaurant to fund it.

I also went out to grab some things in the city a few days ago. I stopped by Neiman Marcus and finally got to pick up Deborah Lippman's Good Girl Gone Bad nail polish along with Glitter in the Air.

two coats of Good Girl Gone Bad with topcoat

I also stopped by the Disney Store, where I honestly didn't expect to get anything. Then I found this adorable Bambi themed linen spray. It's clearly aimed for use with baby clothing, but it smells really nice and I like to be able to freshen up my closet occasionally. Initially it smells a bit like candied pineapple to me and I kind of fell it love with it.

The last thing I got for myself were some chocolates.

Back row, left to right: Pistachio Cup (pistachio buttercream) Cacao Forte (99% Dark Ganache) Blue Cheese Truffle (soft blue cheese & dark chocolate rolled in almonds)

Front row, left to right: Key Lime (fresh key lime juice in white chocolate) Fleur de Sel Caramel (caramel infused with grey french sea salt) Bananas Foster (banana and caramel flambeed with rum)

While I was looking I asked them to tell me which was the most unique chocolate that they had and they brought out the Blue Cheese Truffle. The taste was definitely unique, smokey and subtle and delicious. It was definitely my favorite of the six that I got.

Le Petit Prince - Outfit

I got new shorts from h.naoto recently and I had to build an outfit around them as soon as possible. You can't see it in this picture, obviously, but they have amazing frills and a really cute bow on the back. I haven't dressed in anything close to kodona style since high school, but I still love the look.

Top - h.Naoto GRAMM
Shorts - h.Naoto FRILL
Tights - ASOS
Boots - groove [hot topic]
Vampire Fang Blood Vial Necklace - suppurate system

because there's nothing more manly than having a bow on your butt...

Happy Easter - Bunny Pin-Up

I don't traditionally celebrate most Christian holidays, so "Easter" to me is mainly another excuse to gorge myself on delicious food and spend time with family...

One of my closest friends, Tiff, took this shot for a pin-up calendar project she was doing a while back and I'm still amazed at how she can make even me look sexy. This day makes me miss her a lot.. I remember her inviting me over for an Easter meal she had cooked herself while we were both still in college. The food was delicious and she made me feel so at home, constantly telling me I was too skinny and how she needed to fatten me up. She treats me like family and has always been there for me.

So, Happy Easter, Tiffy. I love you.

And everyone enjoy what's left of their Easter Sunday.
Check out Tiff's lovely photography on her Facebook page.

All Saints Siouxsie Jumper

I've had some issue with AllSaints' customer service as of my last few online orders. I'd be through dealing with them if they didn't sell so many things I lust after. This morning, after some turmoil and one lost package, I acquired the Siouxsie Jumper which I'm pretty in love with. It's super comfy and like most items I've gotten from AllSaints the 0 fits me relatively well.

I also took a few low quality photo booth pictures since I'm currently lacking a tripod.

Steam Trunk Couture Archery Gloves - Five and Diamond SF

I had a delightfully quiet Thursday to myself this past week and I was finally able to make it back to Five and Diamond to take advantage of a sale they were having.

I've been eyeing Steam Trunk's Archery Gloves for more than a year now after trying them on at the Edwardian Ball. I'm happy to say that after a year of lusting I bought them.

Gloves for me, unfortunately, are a bit like hats. I seem to really love them, I spend a decent amount of money on them and then never seem to find anything appropriate to wear with them. But these gloves are too damn gorgeous and buttery soft for me to avoid wearing them. That being said they are slightly large on me, but I can accept that since they make me look completely badass.

I also picked up this lovely watch necklace, mostly for the color scheme.

I stumbled across 780 Cafe in between shopping and going to a friend's place to watch Game of Thrones. It's a very pleasant space for a design geek like myself and the mocha I ordered was pretty decent. I also finally got some use out of my new h.naoto Blood bag, which I was worried was a little too small but comfortably accommodates my huge Juicy Couture wallet, my camera and my giant brick of a portable phone charger/battery with room to spare.

mm, mocha..

I also happened to run into this little cutie, dressed to match her owner. I then creepily asked for a photo.

I wish you could see me or the bizarre window display better.

I really need to spend more of my days off in the city. It's fun to go exploring and there's a lot to see.

Saturday Shoot

I haven't been part of a photo shoot since I left college last year, but this Saturday I decided to help out a friend who needed me to stand in to do some lighting tests for a shoot. It ended up turning into its own thing and I had a lot of fun. I definitely want to do it again soon!

I finally got to wear my new NAOTO SEVEN headband out. It's so lovely and elegant.. not something I can't see myself wearing out every day, unfortunately.

Hopefully photos from the shoot turn out decently so I can post a few on here for you to see! I'm eager to show off the GRAMM dress I was wearing. It's quickly become one of my favorites and it's super comfy as well!

Cyperous Wig Review & Strawberry Pudding

doing my best kpop idol impression
I'm fortunate enough to work in an environment where no one cares that my hair is green, blue and purple... I'm equally fortunate that they seem not to care that I'm constantly wearing different, oddly colored wigs.

September of last year I ordered a few things from the Japanese wig company Cyperous. I ordered a 'point' wig that I used to do my Marie Antoinette/gyaru inspired hairdo:

huuuge poof that I love
I also got some curly purple extensions and this long two-tone wig in wine red/black:

As far as quality goes, it's pretty soft and doesn't give off too much shine. I've had a lot of people mistake it for my real hair. As you can see from the photos it's a very lovely color and shape. Everything came packaged very well, with complimentary wig caps that I actually get a lot of use from.

Cyperous makes a lot of really lovely styles and does have support for international customers so you don't have to use a shopping service. There is a link on their site to assist international customers with ordering that is pretty easy to follow.

I will say this though, the payment system they use looks EXTREMELY sketchy. I was initially worried I had been the victim of a type of phishing scam. So be wary, but I can vouch that that weird payment page you receive at the end is legitimate.

Cyperous also has a cosplay wig division that has a pretty good selection. My next order will probably be this blond wig to replace my current 'Alice' wig and this blue-green curly wig.

In completely unrelated news, Paris Baguette near me recently started carrying pudding. This strawberry pudding is like crack to me.
